KFC Has Turned Its Chicken Bucket Lids Into Playable Vinyl Records, And I Have To Get My Hands On One

Honestly, I have so much time for KFC and their marketing team. They have whipped up some hilarious schemes in the past. Who could forget the KFC gaming console with an inbuilt chicken warmer? Now, with Christmas approaching, KFC has turned their bucket lids into festive vinyl, and I am so into it.

The new KFC bucket lids will be playable on your vinyl player, grease and all. I hear that chicken fat actually enhances the sound quality quite drastically. I don't think it'll be much good for the needles though. That being said, any budding DJs may find the chicken grease actually helps with a bit of scratching.

However, there won't be much to remix with the KFC vinyl. They will be filled with festive Christmas songs, just in time for the winter season. The vinyl will contain a collection of Kentucky Fried Christmas bangers such as We Wish You A Merry Christmas and Deck The Halls.

How To Get Your Greasy Fingers On A KFC Bucket Vinyl

All you need to do to have a chance of getting the sought-after Christmas record is enter into their competition. It is being hosted only for Canadian residents and requires an Instagram account to apply. Simply head to the KFC Canada Insta and get tagging. Only one entry per person, and no guaranteed win.

Sadly, the KFC bucket vinyl will only be available for a limited time. However, this just makes it even more special. I imagine they will end up selling for a fortune.

I feel like they should have done this promotion in Japan. It has long been a tradition there to tuck into a bucket of KFC chicken at Christmas. Only about 1% of Japanese people are Christian, so it's not such a big deal. Adding a little festive fun to the traditional Christmas bucket could have been fun.

I am still waiting on the KFC gaming console. That promised to be an absolute beast of a machine, using the excess heat from the components to keep your chicken, entombed within, hot, crispy, and fresh. What will they think of next?
