Fast Food Places Keep Getting Your Order Wrong But One Chain Ranks Worse Than The Others

It's always a downer when you order fast food and they mess up your order. You would think that, with a business model that revolves around quick and easy food, they would get it right. But, some fast food chains apparently suck at giving you what you ordered, according to a recent study.

Unsurprisingly, Chick-fil-A has the highest accuracy rate on orders. Their whole menu is small. So it's a case of keeping the opportunity for failure as low as possible. Like they say, don't half-a-- two things, full a-- one thing. A small menu means they cook what they have well and have a lower failure rate on orders.

This being said, it's actually KFC that has the worst six-year average for getting your order wrong among fast food chains. The Intouch Insight study showed their failure rate was at 81% 6-year average. They only serve chicken. How hard can it be? To be fair to them, it does all look the same.

Despite having the lowest six-year average, they have also improved the most. They're not currently the worst fast-food chain at messing up orders. That title goes to Bojangles. I guess it's just a game of roulette whenever you order from that fast food joint.

It's Not All About Accuracy

Fast food is supposed to be just that: fast. Of course, actually getting what you want is key, but getting it quickly is imperative, too. The same study looked at who could get your food the fastest.

In the drive thru ordering situation, they broke it down into how long the wait in the car was before ordering and then how long service actually took. The total time includes both.

Taco Bell has taken the crown for fastest fast food per order for two years in a row. However, KFC is in a close second. But you might not end up with what you originally ordered from the chicken shop. You'll get it in lightning-quick time, though.

So, the toss-up comes down to how much of a rush you're in. If you're prepared to wait a minute or two for an accurate meal, head to Chick-fil-A. If you need your fast food immediately but don't care what shows up, KFC is your guy.
